The PurHome X-51 whole house water filter utilizes a combination of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and KDF for filtration of chlorine, chemical contaminants and heavy metals. Has 1" plumbing and a "Big Flow" 0.35 micron sediment pre-filter. Includes wall mounting bracket for sediment pre-filter. Rated at 8 gallons per minute for best filtration although higher flow rates may be obtained with this unit. Filter Designed for municipally treated water but may be used on well water if water is microbiologically safe or in conjunction with a UV light system. Specifications: Dimensions: Main unit is 44 inch H, 8 in diameter; pre-filter is 12 in H x 8 in diameter Filter maintenance: Filter Media in tank should be replaced every 5 years, pre-filter every few months as needed.
